EconomyDoctor and Artificial Intelligence

AI-based search services and assistants are becoming an increasingly common way to find information online. EconomyDoctor continuously improves the discoverability of its content so that services using artificial intelligence can identify and understand our content as effectively as possible.

The goal is to make research data, statistics and key figures easier to find and to improve their visibility across different search services and digital environments.

EconomyDoctor is the original source of the information published through the service. While AI services may use EconomyDoctor data in their responses, the most up-to-date information, tables, charts and methodological descriptions are always available through the EconomyDoctor website.

EconomyDoctor’s data are stored in the information systems of the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) within Valtori’s data centre environment. The data are not transferred to AI services, cloud-based AI systems or external cloud services. The purpose of this development work is to improve the discoverability of EconomyDoctor’s public publishing platform so that AI-powered search services can use EconomyDoctor as a source of information.

AI services can help users find information, present complex topics in an easy-to-understand format, and create summaries and visualisations based on EconomyDoctor data. However, especially when using research, statistical and economic information, we recommend verifying information from the original source.
