Reindeer Husbandry Farm Accountancy Results
The Reindeer Husbandry Farm Accountancy web service provides users with average economic results for different types of reindeer husbandry enterprises from the accounting period 2002/2003 onwards. The results are based on enterprise-level data from the reindeer husbandry farm accountancy system maintained by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) Statistics Services, which annually covers approximately 75 reindeer husbandry enterprises.
The results are weighted using population weights calculated on the basis of approximately 1,000 reindeer husbandry enterprises with more than 80 live reindeer in the entire reindeer herding area. The results can therefore be generalised to represent the performance of this population of enterprises.
The service consists of two parts:
1. Time Series Outputs and Standard Reports by Accounting Year (from 2002/2003 onwards)
In the standard reports, users can choose from a range of output options, including income statements, balance sheets, key performance indicators, revenue and cost breakdowns, and the principal income and profitability measures. Results can be viewed by reindeer herding area, by regions formed from reindeer herding cooperatives, and by farm size.
All tables are generated in real time according to the user's selections.
2. User-Defined Reports (Own Criteria)
In the "Own Criteria" section, users can choose a report and define the factors according to which enterprises are grouped when calculating group averages (classification variables).
The available report options and classification variables can be combined to produce thousands of different output tables. These tables are also generated in real time based on the user's selections.
Reports can also be produced in Swedish and English.
In addition to average results, outcomes can be analysed using a "high-performing / low-performing" grouping based on four different classification factors. In this approach, the best-performing and weakest-performing 10% of enterprises are excluded, and the weighted average is calculated for the next-best and next-weakest quintiles.
