Data
The results of the service are based on Luke's extended structural statistics of agricultural and horticultural enterprises.
The extended dataset includes all agricultural and horticultural enterprises in Finland, including the smallest enterprises with an economic size of 0-2,000 SO euros.
The data also includes companies with a zero SO-euro total. These companies have not produced any products that could be sold or used on the farm and that would thus generate SO-euros. Nor can a production category be assigned to them based on any product. In many services, these enterprises are classified under the production category "Unclassified." These unclassified enterprises are included in the data, and if they produce agricultural and horticultural products the following year, they are not considered "new" enterprises or "enterprises returning to production."
Service activities such as harness racing, horseback riding, and stable operations are not considered agriculture, but these businesses are also included in the data because they produce agricultural and horticultural products, and the farms may have other production animals. However, horses are not taken into account when determining a farm's production type and production line. In other words, the production type and production line of these farms are determined based on their other agricultural production.
KEY FARM NUMBER ANALYSIS SECTION
From the dropdown menu on the left, you can select and examine farm development over the past 15 years using key classification variables.
OWN CRITERIA
The Own Criteria section offers clearly more flexible selection options, based on which EconomyDoctor (Taloustohtori) can generate millions of different reports.
The user can make the following selections for the report: The user can select a maximum of six optional classifiers for a single table from approximately 15 possible classifiers. Each classifier has sub-selections, from which the desired sub-selections can be chosen completely freely. In all cases, "Year" is pre-selected as one classifier, and at least one year must be selected.
The other classifiers include regional classifiers, type of farming classifiers, etc.
The groups are formed by retrieving into the table all enterprises that belong to the classes and sub-selections chosen by the user. The system only displays the numbers of farms.
The reporting system retrieves the enterprises belonging to the selected classes and dynamically calculates the total number of farms in the different classes.
HANDLING OF RESULT TABLES
In the generated table, the year time series is in the columns, and all other classifiers are row classifiers.
The generated result reports can be formatted by pivoting them with respect to the classifiers using the available buttons above the table. Adjacent columns are always easiest to compare, and they can be changed using the buttons.
The order of the row classifiers can be changed using a dedicated button. And the column classifier can be changed using another button.
You can switch to "Full screen mode" using a dedicated button.
The result reports can be saved to your own computer in EXCEL, PDF, CSV, JSON, and HTML formats. The download buttons are below the table.
