Background Information
Concentration Development of Agriculture and Horticulture The service provides information on the concentration of Finland's agricultural land area, livestock, and production output (Standard Output) among farms of different sizes since 2000, by region and production line. The service consists of two parts: 1. Predefined time series reports covering the period from 2000 onwards. 2. In the "Own Criteria" section, the user selects either Report 1 or Report 2. The report content is then defined through a series of drop-down menus, after which the user selects the region and/or production line group for which the results will be generated. The following selections are made from the drop-down menus: - Whether the analysis should start with the smallest farms or the largest farms. - What proportion of farms should be included (20%-70%). - Whether hectare, livestock unit, or Standard Output (SO) production volumes are examined. - Whether relative shares (%) or absolute values are examined. The user then selects the years, production lines, and, if desired, a regional classification for the analysis. The web service calculates all result reports in real time.
