STRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURE Structural Development of Agriculture and Horticulture Web Service
The Structural Development of Agriculture and Horticulture web service provides information on the development in the number of agricultural and horticultural enterprises by region, production line, and farm size class since 2000. The results presented in the Structural Development service are based on Luke's extended Structural Statistics of Agricultural and Horticultural Enterprises. The data also include the smallest agricultural and horticultural enterprises with a Standard Output (SO) value of less than EUR 2,000. Service activities include harness racing, riding, and stable operations, which are not agricultural activities. However, these farms are included in the data because they produce other agricultural and horticultural products and may also keep other livestock. Horses are nevertheless excluded when calculating the economic size and production line of farms. Using the Own Criteria -button in the user interface, users can select any time period from the 2000s and freely combine up to five additional classification variables from the available options. The available classifications include production line and farm size classifications, as well as various regional classifications. The service is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
