General information about the system
The Total Calculation service provides the user with results concerning the aggregate economy of the agricultural and horticultural sector from 2002 onwards.
A forecast is produced for the financial year following the latest actual financial year.
The Total Calculation depicts the combined results of all 50,000 enterprises in Finland.
The results are based on the farm-specific profitability bookkeeping / FADN data of Luke's Statistical Services, which annually includes approximately 650 enterprises practicing agriculture and horticulture. The results of the Total Calculation are calculated by weighting these results from the profitability bookkeeping farms.
The calculation frameworks of the aggregate accounts are based on business economics concepts, the recommendations of the Committee for Corporate Analysis (Yritystutkimusneuvottelukunta), and adjusted income statements and balance sheets.
The objective is to calculate the agricultural results of "OY Suomi AB".
The results of the total calculation service do not in any part include forestry, fur farming, or other business activities that may be practiced on the farms, nor the private household finances of the agricultural entrepreneurs.
